How to carve it
- 1Print the stencil at the size that fits your pumpkin and trim the paper.
- 2Tape it flat to the pumpkin. Small cuts at the paper's edges help it hug the curve.
- 3Poke along every line with a pin or toothpick, a few millimetres apart.
- 4Peel the paper off. Carve out the black parts, sawing from dot to dot; small parts first.
- 5Put a candle or LED light inside, take a photo in the dark, and enter it in the contest.
